What is Tulikivi?
Tulikivi is Finland’s largest stone processor and the world’s largest manufacturer of masonry heaters (also known as heat-retaining fireplaces).

Why Soapstone?
Soapstone has excellent heat retaining and conducting properties which makes it ideal for masonry heaters.
Maintenance on soapstone fireplaces is uncomplicated: since stains don’t penetrate the stone, they can be easily cleaned with a dry scrubbing pad. Scratches can be removed with very fine sand paper.
Clean combustion and advanced technology
Tulikivi masonry heaters all burn with high efficiency. Only a small quantity of wood is required, which burns cleanly and produces very little ash. Our soapstone fireplaces exceed even the toughest of emissions standards. How and why does it work?
A Tulikivi fireplace heats your home indirectly:
Once or twice per day, a large charge of wood is burnt quickly in a hot fire and the flue gases are sent through heat-exchanging channels built in the body of the heater before entering the chimney.
The heat generated by the fire and its flue gases is absorbed by the large mass of the heater, transferred to its surface and slowly released into your home.
